Intern Program

 In Samson’s summer Intern Program you will:

  • Gain insight into the oil and natural gas industry with the support of your mentor
  • Perform meaningful, value-added work related to your field of study with a high degree of accountability
  • Network with fellow interns and experienced professionals in various disciplines
  • Have fun and produce results.

Development Programs

Through our Technical Development Program for Engineers, Geoscientists and Landmen, you will:

  • Have a high degree of accountability for your work from day one
  • Rotate job assignments
  • Be guided by your mentor, manager and Advisory Team
  • Have individually focused training and development opportunities
  • Receive regular, formalized feedback from your team

Q:  Are Samson’s internships paid or unpaid?
A:  All Samson Internships are paid.

Q: How long are Samson’s internships?
A:  Typically internships last 10-12 weeks during the summer months.

Q: When does Samson recruit on campus?
A: We recruit each fall for the upcoming year. You should visit your campus career services office early to make sure you have your resume updated and are ready for career fairs and interviewing by September.

Q: How should I prepare for an interview?
A: Research Samson Resources and use your campus career services office to prepare for the interview. Arrive a few minutes early and make sure you have all documents with you. Also, be prepared to ask your interviewer questions too.

Q: Where will my internship be located?
A:  Samson Resources headquarters is in Tulsa, OK. We have offices in Denver, CO and The Woodlands, TX as well as field locations throughout the United States.                 

Q:  What disciplines does Samson recruit?
A:  We recruit talented students in Accounting, Finance, Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Law, Environmental & Safety, and Energy Management for both our intern and full-time positions.
